About Me
I'm a mechanical engineer, I talk quickly, I'm always interested in new experiences, and I love that feeling of turning an idea into something tangible.
Thankfully, I’ve gotten the chance to make some incredible tangible goods at Apple, and have more in the queue at Quip.
Products I’ve been able to ship include 2023 Magnetic Link Watchband, 2022 Magic Keyboard Folio, 2020 Magnetic iPad Folio, 2018 Leather MacBook Pro Sleeve, and the 2018 Magnetic iPad Folio. Click the portfolio link above to see my detailed contributions to these products.
The most empowering thing about being an engineer is that with the right skillset you can prototype almost anything yourself, and can implement these design ideas into your daily life.
I currently do product design for Quip. Previously I spent nearly 7 years at Apple, primarily on the softgoods team while spending about year working on input devices team. Prior to Apple, I was in a leadership role at a consumer electronics company performing mechanism design, design for manufacturing & assembly, and prototype fabrication. I've also done prototyping designs for an airport security company, and a surgical patient positioning device for a medical company.
Outside of work I’m usually found golfing, snowboarding, and researching fantasy football. I try to always have a good book to turn to, some of my favorites include The Three Body Problem, Reality is Not What it Seems, and The Phantom Tollbooth. I’m currently lost in the Cosmere, reading the Stormlight Archive.
